“40 missiles. Every day, Russian troops use so many different but equally deadly missiles against our state, against Ukraine. This is the average number per day,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in his video address to the Parliament of Denmark, the Folketing.
The signals we hear from the trading platform can be called positive. But these signals do not drown out the Russian projectile breakouts. Sure, we see all the risks. Of course, we see no reason to trust the words of certain representatives of a state that continues to strive for our destruction. Ukrainians are not naive people. Ukrainians have already learned during these 34 days of invasion and the last eight years of war in Donbass that only a concrete result can be trusted
The main thing from the president’s speech:
▪️The Russian military department supposedly decided to “reduce hostilities in Kiev and Chernihiv. We are not cooling down or reducing our defense efforts. The defense of Ukraine is the number one task now, and everything else is derived from it
▪️As Armed Forces of Ukraine, our intelligence, all those who have joined the defense of the state – this is the only guarantee of our survival today. A guarantee that works
▪️The signals we hear from the trading platform can be called positive. But these signals do not drown out the Russian projectile breakouts. Sure, we see all the risks. Of course, we see no reason to trust the words of certain representatives of a state that continues to strive for our destruction. Ukrainians are not naive
▪️Ukraine is ready to negotiate and will continue the negotiation process. We are counting on the result – real security for our state. Russian troops must leave the occupied territories. There can be no compromise on sovereignty and our territorial integrity. And it will not
▪️That some countries will not even expect certain negotiations to affect the lifting of sanctions on Russia. The issue of sanctions cannot be raised until the war is over, until we get ours back and until we restore justice.
Rather, sanctions need to be intensified. Intensify them on a weekly basis. And they must be of high quality. Not just for the headlines in the media that sanctions have been imposed, but for real peace
▪️To ensure this, a team of Ukrainian and international experts has already begun to evaluate the effectiveness of the sanctions imposed on Russia. On the Ukrainian side, this area is coordinated by the head of the OP Andriy Yermak, on the international side – Michael McFaul
▪️New feature in “Actions” will work from today. As I promised, the state will compensate for the loss of a house or apartment as a result of the hostilities. Each of our citizens can now submit an application under “Action”
